Rick is president of Jetport Motors Inc., located in Niagara Falls, NY, a full services auto repair shop. He has been in business since the age of 17. He's learned through hands on experience what it takes to be competitive and successful in today's marketplace. Rick prides himself on running his race team the same as he runs his business .... with only top quality service and performance, excellence in customer relations and honesty, integrity and dependability. Rick's career in auto racing began in 1986. Rick started out in the sportsman division. His strong desire to race found him just half a season later, in victory lane and with the "Rookie of the Year" award. Rick has had his share of feature wins during the next five years. In 1991 Rick moved up to the modified ranks at Ransomville and Merrittville Speedways. As it turned out, Rick fared pretty well, finishing 6th in points at Merrittville and 8th in points at Ransomville and again, captured "Rookie of the Year." Since then, Rick has won several awards including "Most Improved Driver" and "Driver of the Year." Rick has had many feature wins at Ransomville and Merrittville and will continue to do so. Every year for the past five years, Rick has qualified to run in the "Super Dirt Week Championship" held at the New York State Fairgrounds in Syracuse, New York. This week long event brings racers and fans from all over New York State and the surrounding states to compete in the one-mile long dirt oval. Rick's best finish has been twelfth place during the top-notch event, out of a forty car field. In 2004, his crew chief and brother, Randy Richner, took 'Crew Chief of the Year' showing that they have one of the best leaders in the pits. Rick Richner Motorsports ... Racing Excellence
